Motor Repair Network Manager
Take the wheel of Ando’s Motor Repair Network - build strong partnerships, ensure top standards, and drive continuous improvement.
We do things a bit differently here
Ando is a multi-lines insurance business and sell our policies through New Zealand’s leading insurance brokers.
At Ando we believe that the fundamental purpose and function of insurance is to help people reduce their losses when bad things happen. That’s why at Ando we’ve always believed in the importance of treating your insurance as a relationship, not a transaction. And why our purpose is to positively impact the wellbeing of New Zealanders.
The role
We’re looking for a Motor Repair Network Manager to take great care of Ando’s nationwide network of Motor Repairers. You’ll be the go-to person for keeping the network running smoothly – making sure service standards are met, spotting opportunities for improvement, and managing any issues that come up.
You’ll spend much of your time on the road (mostly in the North Island, with some South Island travel), carrying out technical audits and building trusted relationships with our repair partners. Back in the office, you’ll share insights and data to help drive smarter decisions and continuous improvement.
From time to time, you’ll also represent Ando at industry events and will occasionally support the Partnerships team in promoting the benefits of the Ando Motor Network – so we’re looking for someone who’s confident in these settings and interested in developing their commercial acumen.
There’s plenty of flexibility and trust in how you plan your travel – and you’ll have a company car to make getting around easy. While we’d like this role to be based in Auckland so you can spend time with the wider team, we’re open to considering candidates in other areas of the North Island.
What you’ll bring
There are a couple of ways you might come to this role – maybe you’ve already managed a motor repair network within another insurance company, or you’ve got hands-on experience and qualifications as a Panel Beater. What matters most is that you bring:
- A solid understanding of the motor repair market, vehicle repair processes, and technical repair methods.
- The ability to look at data, spot trends, and come up with smart, practical improvements.
- A professional, organised, and self-motivated approach – you know how to manage your time well and get things done.
- Strong relationship-building skills and the confidence to represent Ando externally
Want to surround yourself with great people?
We’re proud that we’re a bit different from regular insurance companies – knowing it’s our people and their relationships who make that difference. We know when to work hard, be focused and smart, but we also never underestimate the importance of the human connections that make us tick and get along together.
Jump in!
If you’re someone who brings the right mix of technical know-how and people skills – and you like the idea of making a real impact – we’d love to hear from you. Applications close Sunday 28th September, but we’ll be reviewing as they come in, so don’t wait too long to apply.
