A bit about the role:

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Heavy Motor Assessor to join our supportive and high-performing Assessing team, based in Christchurch. In this role, you’ll take the lead in assessing damage to heavy motor vehicles, ensuring repairs are completed to the highest standard while balancing quality, cost, and customer experience.

Helping our business grow and succeed in a challenging and changing environment, you’ll be responsible for:

· Carrying out accurate and timely assessments on heavy motor vehicles across the country. These will be a mix of desktop and site visit assessments.

· Work closely with repairers, suppliers, and brokers to achieve great outcomes for our customers

· Ensure repair methods are technically sound and cost-effective

· Provide clear, professional communication throughout the claims process

· Identify opportunities to improve service quality and reduce repair costs

We’re looking for someone with:

· At least 5 years’ experience in the motor industry, ideally with assessing knowledge

· Strong technical understanding of heavy vehicle repair methods and insurance claims

· Excellent relationship management and communication skills

· A genuine passion for delivering great customer service and working collaboratively
