We're now looking for a Claims Recoveries Consultant to join our close-knit Claims Recoveries team, based in Auckland’s Wynyard Quarter.

This is a role for someone who enjoys solving problems, building relationships, and finding fair outcomes. You'll manage third-party recoveries in the Motor and Property space (across personal and commercial lines) from start to finish, working closely with customers, insurers, brokers, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure recoveries are handled efficiently, professionally, and with care.

What you'll be doing

• Managing third-party recovery claims and pursuing recovery opportunities in line with delegated authority limits and best practice

• Working with customers and third parties to achieve fair, timely, and cost-effective outcomes

• Providing clear, accurate and empathetic support throughout the recovery process

• Attendance to dispute tribunal hearings as and when necessary/required.

• Building strong relationships with internal teams, brokers, suppliers and external stakeholders

• Identifying opportunities to improve processes, systems and ways of working

• Contributing to positive customer experiences and strong commercial outcomes for Ando

What you’ll bring

Our ideal candidate will already have experience working in insurance recoveries and a solid understanding of insurance principles, including how to interpret policy wordings and determine liability.

You'll be a confident communicator and negotiator who can build positive relationships while navigating challenging conversations with empathy and professionalism. You'll also bring strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
