The role

We’re looking for a Schemes Underwriter to join our Broker Digital team and help us grow our Schemes portfolio in smart, sustainable ways.

As a Schemes Underwriter, you’ll play a key role in shaping the future of our delegated authority scheme business. This is a role where you’ll get to apply your expertise, have a voice, and make a real impact.

You’ll be trusted to:

• Underwrite new business, renewals and referrals in line with our underwriting appetite and portfolio goals
• Partner with our brokers to deliver exceptional service and uphold SLAs
• Spot trends and opportunities to strengthen our schemes portfolio
• Bring your technical know-how to the team — sharing insights, supporting colleagues, and helping build capability across Ando
• Champion Ando’s values and ethical approach in everything you do

Qualifications and experience

• Around 4+ years’ experience in general insurance, with strong technical underwriting skills

• A solid understanding of the regulatory and legislative landscape
• Experience building strong relationships with brokers and partners
• Sharp analytical skills and attention to detail
• A collaborative mindset, willingness to share knowledge, and the confidence to make sound decisions

• ANZIIF qualifications (Cert/Dip) will be highly regarded, and so will a passion for learning and growing your career.
