The role:

We’re looking for a highly motivated Commercial Underwriter to join our high-performing Southern Commercial Markets team. Working closely with our Business Development Managers, you’ll support new business, renewals and endorsements day to day, while building strong, trusted relationships with our intermediary partners.

What you'll be doing:

• Ensuring all risks are underwritten and accepted within authorised limits

• Managing a small portfolio of new business and renewals

• Playing an instrumental role in process improvement initiatives

• Monitoring and analysing trends across renewals and claims

• Achieving strong quote conversion while maintaining turnaround-time SLAs

What you'll bring:

• 2–3 years’ experience within commercial lines products, with a strong understanding of the New Zealand market and emerging trends

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal stakeholders
