About the opportunity:

Due to an internal promotion, we’re looking for a highly motivated Commercial Underwriter who is ready to join our hard-working and high-performing Northern Commercial Markets team, based in our Auckland viaduct office. 

• Ensuring all risks are underwritten and accepted within authorised limits;
• Managing a small portfolio of new business and ensuring the renewal of business;
• Instrumental in process improvement;
• Achieving high levels of quote conversion whilst maintaining turnaround time SLAs.
• Monitoring and analysing trends across renewals and claims.

About you:

You’ll bring 3+ years’ experience within commercial lines products and have a strong understanding of the New Zealand market and emerging trends. You’ll need to have excellent communication skills with the ability to engage well with internal & external stakeholders. Working closely with the Business Development Managers, you’ll be involved with new business, renewals and endorsements on a day-to-day basis, while strengthening relationships with intermediaries.
